ULTEM®, Polyetherimide (PEI) resin, is a high performance amorphous engineering thermoplastic which offers a combination of outstanding thermal, mechanical and electrical properties together with exceptional flame resistance with low smoke emission.  Ultem is very suitable used for those precision high end applications in the electrical, medical, mechanical and aeronautical industries.

 Characteristics..

Excellent flame resistance:
High oxygen index of over 47, low smoke emission and grade approved as UL 94V0/5VA.

Excellent electrical properties:
Dielectric constant and dielectric loss well stable over a wide range of temperature and frequency.  Also high dielectric breakdown strength.

High heat resistance:
Deflection temperature under load over 200℃ and long term service temperature of UL standard over 170℃.

High mechanical strength.

Excellent processability.

Chemical resistance.

Transparency.
